China targets its GDP growth at 5% for 2023. Given current challenges to China, such as a sharp fall in foreign trade over recent months, a very conservative outlook of European Economy and the US containment approach to the Chinese manufacturing industry, can Chinese industry and trade be still competitive for global challenges in sustaining its economic growth at or above 5% in 2023 and beyond?
As China’s renowned economist and the leading researcher of the macroeconomic research team at Peking University HSBC Business School, Professor Wen Hai will address the question from his analytical view and inside-China observation. His speech on China’s economy will be informative, in-depth, and comprehensive in stimulating us to think about the future prospect of China’s economy and trade.
